Child Photographer – Cincinnati OH

When we moved from Mt. Adams to the suburbs in Anderson/Newtown, I loved all of the little areas I found to photograph in! Sure, I missed the urban beauty and parks galore but the “country” offers so much as well. Each spring, there is this small yet gorgeous patch of yellow flowers… okay weeds, that grow on the side of a road by my house so each year, I have taken my daughter (and started taking her friends too!) to get some pictures in it. I hope to continue this tradition for many years to come! As long as she will let me anyway ;) It’s so neat to watch her literally grow right out of the flowers. The first year, she didn’t even reach the tops of them and now she they are waist high. I tried to find out what these flowers were called and the best I could come up with is winter cress, here is a link to some of Ohio’s most common wildflowers in case anyone is as interested as I am.

I created this set of pictures, one from each year I have been doing this. My daughter at 1, 2, 3, and now 4. Also some pictures of she and her friends this year!!

Anderson OH Baby Photographer | My Littlest Guy

I am SOOOOOO behind on my blog. Each year when January rolls around, I try to promise myself that I will keep it up to date but life gets busy and I let it slip. No promises but maybe I will update more than a handful of times next year – 2016 will be my year, haha!! I have enjoyed my newest little guy over the last 7 months, he has a killer smile and a sweet disposition when he wants to. I’m not going to lie though, he has been HARD. He cried 95% of the time he was awake for the first 4 or so months. Thank goodness he was a summer baby and I could take him for walks during that time!! He is now almost 8 months old and I am cautiously saying that he is losing the fussiness and becoming such a joy! Even just in the last week there has been a noticeable difference! Colicky babies sure do test you, but I am so grateful for this precious guy and I can’t wait to see what he turns out to be! Here are some pictures of him at 6 months and of his room that is finally coming together! Better late than never!!

Isn’t spring time great? Besides the allergies that come with it, it could be my favorite time of the year (although I say that about all seasons except winter!). I love all of the green, gorgeous flowers, and warmer temperatures! And these flowers are probably my favorites- there is a strip of them close to my house and I took my daughter there last year for pictures and decided I would try to do annual pictures. They bloomed early this year so I drug my 9 month pregnant behind out there to capture the beauty of the wildflowers with the beauty of my little spunky 2 year old. She has mastered the “cheese!” face much to my dismay, haha. Check out last years’ pictures HERE.

Gosh, it truly seems like it was just yesterday that our sweet daughter was born. Here she is now- a 2 year old and almost a big sister!! She is the perfect amount of spunk and sweetness and with soon to be 3 brothers, she will be quite the strong, no nonsense kind of girl. Although it’s still my plan that our boys guard and protect her for life :) And trust me, she is already a force to be reckoned with! We couldn’t love her more!!

Having a February birthday makes it hard to get outdoor shots so I waited for a “mild” 38 degree day to take her out. Like most 2 year olds, she wanted nothing to do with following my directions but I am beyond happy that I got these few shots. Enjoy!

Cincinnati OH Baby Photographer – My Little Girl

I am still in shock that my little girl turned one 2 weeks ago! Time flies, that is for sure. I had planned ahead and purchased a big cupcake from Cupcake Crazy for a cake smash but after trying to drop a feeding to wean her, I came down with mastitis (ouch!). So my plans of taking pictures went down the drain until I got some antibiotics in my system. By then, the cake was a few days old so I decided to do it one evening before it was as hard as a rock. I have southwest facing windows in my studio so the worst possible light for a late afternoon session but despite the color issues, I still love these pictures. I think she would have sat there and ate until all of the icing was gone if I had let her!! She’s definitely my big eater! Child Photography – My Batman

Our middle child, James, is our little firecracker :) Over the past 6 months, he has been obsessed with dressing up as batman on an almost daily basis (or superman right now because the batman cape is MIA). Nine times out of ten, he comes downstairs dressed in the mask, cape, and undies (batman undies of course!). Luckily for me, he is a good sport about it and lets me take pictures of him as he runs, jumps, “flies” through the house fighting bad guys. I will always love these pictures as they remind me of this awesome and fun time in his life and just how cute 2-3 year olds really are. Enjoy!! There will be many more of these blog posts to come..my little guy as batman, flying through the house!

Anderson OH Baby Photographer – Nursery

We moved in July from downtown (Mt. Adams) to the suburbs (Anderson). For the first time, I had a nursery to decorate!! And of course I had to photograph it! Winter 2011/2012 {Cincinnati/Northern KY Child Photographer}

It has been a strange winter so far!!! Very nice and pleasant for the most part with a few days of bitter cold. And we’ve had no snow! Which is kind of a bummer because I’ve been dying to get some snow pictures of my boys :) But I’ll gladly take temps in the 60’s if it will stay that way until spring! Here are some shots of my kiddos over the last month or so. And the rare shot (or I should say attempt at a shot) of me with them :)
